The overlay renders outside the standard display pipeline using a technique that excludes it from DirectX and GDI capture. Zoom, Teams, Meet, OBS, the Windows Snipping Tool, and Game Bar all capture a clean screen. Your overlay never appears.
Invisible to screen sharing
When you share your screen in any video conferencing tool, participants see your desktop exactly as they'd expect. The GhostAssist overlay is your private layer.
No tray icon in capture
Even the system tray icon is handled to avoid leaking GhostAssist's presence during a screen share or recording.
Dual-mode audio capture
Captures both the system audio output (speaker) and your microphone input simultaneously, with speaker attribution so answers reference who said what.
Live meeting transcription
Real-time transcription runs continuously in the background. You can ask questions referencing things that were said minutes ago in the meeting.
Contextual AI answers
AI answers are grounded in the live meeting transcript, specific to what was just discussed and who said it.
Meeting insights mode

No cloud sync
Sessions are not uploaded, synced, or backed up to any GhostAssist infrastructure. Your data stays on your machine.
Internet only for AI calls
GhostAssist requires an internet connection to reach AI models. The only outbound traffic is your queries and the returned answers, not meeting content.

Machine-bound license
